About Hafiz
Hafiz Oyediran joins the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering as a Lecturer starting Fall 2024. Hafiz has a background in Construction Automation and Robotics. Prior to his academic career, he worked in numerous roles as a structural engineer-in-training, site supervisor, and project manager. He holds a PhD in Construction Engineering and Management with a minor in Computer Science, an MSc in Construction Management, and a BSc in Building from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He also has a Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from Lagos State Polytechnic, Lagos, Nigeria. He is a co-founder and director of the BIM Africa Initiative, an NGO focused on the advocacy and adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across Africa.
His current research areas of interest include:

- Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality Application in Construction
