George Synodi, vice president for finance and administration, commented in a recent City Council meeting on the University of New Haven’s purchase of North End Field from the City of West Haven.
George S. Synodi was named vice president for finance and treasurer in October 2002. He received a bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Connecticut. He served as chief financial officer for three Connecticut public education school districts from 1983 to 1989 and as assistant executive director and chief financial officer of the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) in Hartford, Connecticut, from 1989 to 2002. He served as an expert financial witness in the landmark Connecticut school desegregation case Sheff vs. O'Neill.
